You are invited to attend the 2015 International Conference on Communication in Healthcare that will take place in New Orleans October 25-28th.

Who Should Attend? Researchers, educators and clinicians interested in improving communication in healthcare: Academic faculty leaders conducting research on communication in healthcare; Medical educators from a range of health professions:Medicine; Psychology; Nursing; Physical Therapy; Plus several other interprofessional fields; Patient Experience professionals engaged in communication improvement; Healthcare administrators guiding topics related to communication.

The conference will address a broad range of health communication issues, and includes a robust array of activities related to health literacy.

The Conference Planning Committee includes many people in the health literacy field including Russell Rothman, Terry Davis, Dean Schillinger, Michael Wolff, Sunil Kripalani, Kenzie Cameron, and Lee Sanders.

Karen DeSalvo MD, MPH, MSc: National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, Department of Health and Human Services

We received 600 submissions and will have a broad array of oral abstracts, posters, workshops, symposia, and special interest groups

We have two pre-courses focused on training in health communication skills, and health communication evaluation.

We also will have our "Meet the Professor" sessions, including a session with an expert in Health Literacy.

We will also continue our mentorship program that pairs students, trainees, and junior faculty with more senior faculty.
